We offer both one-time purchases and monthly subscriptions. One-time purchases never expire, while subscriptions provide fresh credits every month.
Purchased credits stay on your BookCover AI account until you use them. If you also have an active subscription, monthly subscription credits refresh on your billing date and unused subscription credits typically do not roll over—check your plan details in checkout for the exact policy.
Credits are the in-app balance you spend to generate and refine AI book covers (and related cover tools). Usage depends on the feature, model, resolution, and quality you choose.
Each finished book cover from GPT Image 2 costs a flat number of credits per image, based on two choices you make: output resolution (1k, 2k, or 4k) and quality (low, medium, or high). In practice, 1k outputs use 1–6 credits depending on quality, 2k uses 2–11, and 4k uses 3–16—higher resolution and higher quality both step up the price because they use more compute. You are only charged when a generation completes successfully.
